Monday – friday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday: 11a.m. – 2 p.m.
Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo will host the Tribute to Hieronyums Bosch in Congo (2011-2013) exhibition from 9th July. With this exhibition, Jan Fabre will show for the first time in Japan an eminent selection of mosaics with the wing-cases of the jewel beetle as a material, an insect that can be considered a symbol of his activities as an artist.
5 kaleidoscopic mosaics and 1 tryptich from Tribute to Hieronymus Bosch in Congo are complemented with recently-created 4 skulls and 4 bird sculptures to amplify the iconography of the works. A total of 16 artworks with the shiny wings of the scarab beetle reflects the light shining into the glass cube of Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo, and transforms it into a space which displays not only beauty of the artworks but also a deep darkness hidden behind them.
Every day: 12pm – 8pm
